Guglielmo Marconi worked on long distance radio transmission and pioneering work. He also created Marconi’s Law. Guglielmo had many things he was known for. He won the Nobel Peace Prize for his inventions and scientific work. He was born in Italy in 1874 and grew up there. He passed away in Italy in 1937 from heart failure. He married two people and had one boy and three girls. All the way up to his death, Marconi worked on science discoveries. Even as a young boy he enjoyed doing science experiments and trying new things to accomplish. December 12, 1901, Guglielmo Marconi sent and received the first wireless message across the Atlantic Ocean. He sent it from Cornwall, England, to a military base in Newfoundland. The very first message ever sent was in Morse Code and it was the letter s. Italy did not seem very interested in Marconi's work with the radio so he moved to London to try his luck there. England was very interested in his work and he ended up getting patents on his work and making the first radio that truly worked. When Guglielmo Marconi passes away, America, England, and Italy all broadcasted moments of silence in memory of him.
